Men's jacket and suit sizes
Jacket size is your chest measurement in inches. Measure around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms, keeping the tape level and snug but not tight — a 40 inch chest takes a size 40 jacket.

Length: R, S and L
The letter after the number is the jacket length, chosen by your height rather than your build.
S (short) suits roughly 5'4"–5'7". R (regular) suits roughly 5'8"–6'0". L (long) suits roughly 6'1" and above. A 42R and a 42L have the same chest; the body and sleeve are cut longer on the L.
Between sizes
Take the larger size and have it altered.
A jacket can be brought in through the waist and the sleeves shortened without difficulty. It cannot be let out much, and the shoulder cannot be moved at all — so buy on the shoulder and chest, then tailor the rest. If you are unsure, call us on (917) 478-4143 or come in and be measured.
